Easy Way to Lose Weight

Everyone is looking for the special exercise regimen or diet that will help them shed the extra pounds. However, a successful weight loss program is a combination of techniques and diet changes that you will need to implement. If you're looking for an easy way to lose weight, take a look at some of these ideas.

Exercise. If you want to get rid of fat, you must get moving! Fat is stored when the calorie intake is above what your body can use. Exercise is necessary for losing weight, and you'll be pleased with the toned look your body will have. Any type of exercise that gets your heart pumping will help you burn fat. Try swimming, jogging, or even vigorous walking for results. You can also use body wraps to tighten your skin as you lose weight.

Water. Now this is easy way to lose weight you might not have considered. Just drinking water can allow you to drop the weight. It helps you feel full, so you won't have to eat so much. It also cleanses your system and keeps you from having false hunger feelings due to dehydration.

Delay. Next time you get hit with a craving for chips or a powerful urge to scarf down a candy bar, tell yourself "not yet". Wait for fifteen minutes (without watching the clock) and see if your hunger is genuine. Often, we only need to rehydrate ourselves. You may also be in a habit of eating snacks at certain times during the day and find yourself "hungry" at those times. If you're looking for an easy way to lose weight, this is one of the easiest. Just delay your snack or meal until you are actually hungry.

Detox. Perhaps the most incredible and easy way to lose weight, is to detox your system. Your body encounters millions of toxins, impurities, and harmful substances on a daily basis. And, by simply ridding your body of these harmful substances you can lose inches, pounds, and perhaps even prolong your life. There are numerous studies available today quoting the substantial positive effects (weight loss, energy increases, etc.) of detoxification using body wraps, fiber supplements, exercise, spas and the like.

Eat Right. You can also work on your diet. Portion size is very important, and most of us end up with way too much on our plates. Try using your palm as an approximate size for the protein (meat, nuts, eggs), and fill up on fiber and good carbohydrates. Nearly all fruits and vegetables provide excellent nutrition with few calories. A small piece of chicken, a hefty side of salad, and fruit for dessert is a great "diet dinner".

As you can see, there really are some easy ways to lose weight. By using common sense and making a few simple changes, you can lose the pounds for good. Your new lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise will become second nature, so you'll never have to worry about gaining back the weight. Success is within your reach!

1. Warning: The banana diet has nothing to do with eating bananas as your main meal.

You'd be crazy if you ate bananas as your meals. Uh, you need protein and fats as well for your diet. If you ate nothing but bananas, you'd so many nutrient, mineral, and vitamin deficiencies. Besides, this would be pure torture to eat only bananas.

I know you're more intelligent than that, but I just wanted to be sure for those who get a little too aggressive with their dieting tactics.

2. Tips - There are 2 ways to do this diet and a combination way

You can eat 2 bananas, 3 separate times a day as snacks between meals. You can eat 2 bananas with your meals... 1 before and 1 after each meal (I don't advise this way). OR... you can do a combo in which you eat 1 banana with each of 3 meals and 1 banana 3 different times as a snack.

If I was to choose, I'd either do the first or third way... probably the 3rd way. Why? First, you need to use bananas as snacks. By using them just at your meals, you'd be opening up some problems when it comes time to snack between meals. So it's vital to use them as snacks.

Also, it's important to have them with meals because the live enzymes bananas contain help you to digest your foods better. Good digestive health is critically important for long term weight loss progress.

Why Am I Gaining Weight Even Though I Eat Healthy and Exercise?

You may be wondering "why am I gaining weight even though I eat healthy and exercise"? A lot of clients I work with think diet and exercise are the ONLY factors when it comes to weight loss.

Unfortunately, there are 7 major factors and diet and exercise are only 2 of them. And if you're eating right and exercising and can't lose weight, then those 2 aren't the most important factors on whether you lose weight, gain weight, or stay the same.

Why Am I Gaining Weight?

If you don't think your diet or exercising is the problem, then here are a few factors you should look into to get your weight loss on track:

1. Are you taking medications?

If so, you're unintentionally messing up your hormones. Your hormones have a lot to say about how much you weigh. Birth control and cholesterol pills are the 2 major pills that really mess up weight loss... but other do to. I can't tell you to stop taking them, but if it's at all possible, phase off of them and stop using them completely or look for alternative natural remedies. Do a Google search if necessary.

A quick tip I can give you that comes from 1 of my weight loss ebooks... spin around like a child. This is strange, but it does help bring balance to your hormones by the way it stimulates your Endocrine System. Through that, it helps you to lose weight.

2. Are you getting enough sleep?

Stacks of studies show that extra sleep helps for weight loss. Of course, it doesn't tell you to sleep all day. To put it in simple terms... if you're overweight and getting only 6.5 hours of sleep... you'd be wise to find a way to bump that up to 7.5 hours of sleep. That added hour adds up to an extra night of sleep each week.

So whatever amount of sleep you're getting now, add an hour or so to it. Take a nap during the day if you can. Add an hour or 30 minutes at night. Whatever. Just sleep more and the weight will more than likely start to come off.

One final tip... if you don't get enough "good sleep" at night, try taking the supplement ZMA. It doesn't help you to fall asleep, but it's great for giving you a nice, deep, refreshing sleep when you are sleeping. It's cheap and worth every penny.

So if you eat healthy and exercise, yet you're gaining weight instead of losing it, consider these 2 factors as possible problems. If you do, you'll stop wondering "why am i gaining weight" and start to reverse it and lose weight rather quickly.

How to Lose 16 Pounds in a Week

Recently, someone asked me how they can lose 16 pounds in a week. After my initial shock wore off, I realized that this person wasn't joking. She really wanted to know how to lose 16 lbs in 1 week.

I must say that I was astonished to learn that she is not alone. Many people have an exaggerated notion of how much weight they can lose. What is worse is that they're prepared to go to extreme lengths in order to fulfill this mission.

Let's make it plain: I do not believe that it is possible to lose 16 pounds in 1 week. It's just not possible to create the necessary calorie deficit unless you submit yourself to extreme conditions and I mean prisoners of war camp like conditions. It's not even healthy to try to achieve this weight loss as you will undoubtedly submit yourself to a great deal of caloric deprivation which can wreak havoc on your metabolism.

Where does that leave you?

You need to abandon such notions as losing a huge amount of weight in a short time (and 16 is just a number I've run across, it could easily be a little more or a little less) and follow a sound eating and exercise plan which can yield a good weight loss rate which will be easy to maintain over time.

One such method is carb rotation. With carb rotation you can achieve an impressive weight loss without depriving yourself of food and without demolishing your metabolic rate.
